Three Fold Vision

What We Are Doing

  1. Training and Sending MissionariesMatthew 28:19 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"

After gaining its independence, India does not allow foreign missionaries to work within its borders. Thus, we are constrained, and believe that it is the Lord’s plan to raise native evangelists to expand the kingdom of God in India. We train and send missionaries, and then support them until they become self supporting. Presently, India has only 3% Christians, so there is a great need.

Currently we have Ten Evening Bible Colleges, teaching Bible courses to laymen. We also have one Bible Institute offering full time courses to future missionaries. We gather our missionaries in an annual conference and regional conferences to continue strengthening them in their work with prayer and fellowship.

  1. Loving and Caring for the Poor and Orphaned Children–James 1:27 "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” Isaiah 58:7-8 “Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter when you see the naked to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard."

In Indian society, most of the children, especially girls, are not getting proper education. Parents, because of their poverty, often make their young children work as laborers. Some of the girls are induced to prostitution, to escape from poverty. Shalom Ministries helps children to get educated and find useful work.

Currently we have Five Orphaned Children Homes, caring for a total of 150 children. We have Twelve Free Education Centers for Children serving a total of about 500 children. We also have Two Tailoring and Sewing Centers helping 100 young women to learn these job skills.

  1. Helping the Elderly, the Poor and Destitute– I Timothy 5:5 "The widows who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help." Acts 6:1-2 "In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Grecian Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, ‘It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables."

We support the destitute widows. Our vision is that the widows live a peaceful life without murmuring and die in peace. The ministry takes care of medical expenses and the burial. Burials cost $300 each.

Also, Shalom Ministries takes care of Lepers, providing medical help and love. We currently have Sixteen Destitute Women Centers, One center for Disabled People, and one Leper Medical Center. Additionally we have Two Free Medical Clinics.

Proverbs 19:17 If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord—and he will repay you!
