Doctrinal Statement

SHALOM MINISTRIES

(A Bible centered Missionary Fellowship)

WHAT IT IS:

‘Shalom ministries’ is a Bible centered, soul saving, and church planting ministry in India. It trains the saved and committed youngsters as missionaries and sends them to the un-reached areas to preach gospel.

DOCTRINAL STATEMENT:

1. God: We believe that there is one eternal God, Trinity God, existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19)

2. Jesus Christ: We believe in the eternal son of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His atoning death on the cross of Calvary, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to heaven and in His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1-4, Matthew 1:23, Phil 2:5-11)

3. Holy Spirit: we believe Holy Spirit, eternal third person of God Head, convicts men of sin (John 16:8) indwells, teaches, comforts, empowers (John 14:26) and leads believers into the truth (John 16:13).

4. Scriptures: We believe the Bible as the only infallible, authoritative word of God and fully inspired by God (2 Peter 1:21, 2 Timothy 3:15-17)

5. Man: We believe that God created man in His own image, but man brought sin by his disobedience and was separated eternally from God. (Gen 1:26, 3:8, Rom 5:12)

6. Satan: We believe that Satan is a real person, destroying the works of God and doomed for eternal punishment. (1 Peter 5:8, Rev 20:10)

7. Salvation: We believe man saved from eternal damnation only through the blood of Jesus Christ by grace of God and faith in Jesus Christ (Eph 2:8-9, John 14:6)

8. Church: We believe the Church is the body of Jesus Christ, consists of regenerated and baptized believers to worship God and have fellowship with fellow believers. (1 Cor 1:2, 1 Peter 1:9)

9. Missions and Evangelism: We believe that every believer is commanded by the Lord to go into the world, evangelize and make disciples. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:15-16)

10. Second coming: We believe in imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ in glory and power and the need to prepare the church for His second coming and judgement. (Mark 13:32-37, Acts 1:11, Rev 19:11-16, 20:11-15)
